I think that the best way to go about anything is good planning. It will be important to me with my group and decide how to go about doing things just as we did for the last project. Once our groups are set and we get to know who has certain strengths and weaknesses we can go about deciding who wants to tackle certain parts. Since we have many groups working on the same idea here it will be important to come up with an original idea.
Since costs is a very important part of this project we will have to do a lot of research to find out the most cost effective way to market the Fargo Theater. Another reason this research is necessary is because our presentation has to be convincing. If we do not do the correct research then the proposal will be inaccurate. It seems that this project like the last one is very important to do research. Once our groups are set up we will have to decide on how we want to do our research and where want to do it.
It is my understanding that we will be creating not only a proposal but also a question and answer session for Margie. In this we will have to have some progressive questions planned out so that we do not waste our time when we get time with her. Also if we have anyone else to interview or question it will be very important to prepare our questions early so that we don’t waste people’s time.
Also we will be getting graded on many different aspects. Some of the ways that I understand we will be graded on is the amount of interest the reader takes from the project. Which means it has got to be smooth and fluent so that it is pleasing to the ear. Also it has to address and asses the multiple audience’s needs and values. This means that anyone who reads it should agree with it, not just one target audience.

Group four stuff
Group 4 blog post
Starting off:
1) Our mission is to create a marketing proposal plan for the Fargo Theater.
2) Some objectives for this assignment are to:
a. Research for more student involvement with the theater.
b. Create a research plan for a marketing proposal for the theater.
c. Address multiple audiences that would may/may not be potential customers of the theater.
3) We will work as a team to accomplish the research goals for this project.
4) Schedule
a. Background info on the Fargo Theater
b. Compile info found
c. Develop a research plan
If any conflicts come about, we have multiple contact info available to us to contact other group members.
Ways we will research to gather information:
-looking on and going through the webpage for the Fargo Theater
-calling and talking with Fargo Theater staff.
-reading blog posts related to the theater
-reading newspaper articles related to the theater
-look at other theaters of similar size to compare information
At this point in time we are still in the beginning stages of the research and development of where we are going to go with this whole assignment. Once we have some meetings and brainstorm a little bit we will be able to decide which direction we will be going. The most that we know now is what we have listed up above. We all think that once we get started it will snowball pretty quickly and we will end up with a solid plan.

My Life Aspirations in Ten Years
When I think ahead about the next ten years of my life I have so many different paths that I could go down. With a Sports and Urban Turfgrass major and a Soil Science minor there are a lot of options open for me. I started working at my local golf course when I was 14 and just needed a part time job to make some money. From there things just kinda went up and up. One year I was on the ball picker cart for two hours a day and just this last summer I was the 1st Assistant Superintendent putting in 12-15 hour days to try to get the new course grown in on time for the opening date. Its crazy to think that in just 7 short years I ended up deciding where I was going to go with my life.
Thinking about the future makes me nervous sometimes. I (at most times) know exactly what I want to do, where I want to live, and exactly what kind of establishment I want to work for. Then I will start to thinking and think, am I really in the right place? This is my problem... I would love to end up at a prestigious golf course in upper California employed as a superintendent making six figures a year. Riding around on a gator all day and sipping coffee smooshing with bankers and investment councilors that are "working" today. That would be my ideal life (most days). Then there is another side of me that just wants to pick up and move to somewhere like Switzerland (no reason for Switzerland, just job available for me there) and basically start over in a new place and be off away from everything and everyone that I know. When these ideas pop into my head they intrigue me so much that I am scared to tell my family and friend (for fear of what they might say).
So, I really dont know where I will end up in the next ten years I guess. I hope that everything works out for me and that my family and friends support all that I do. But, hey, if they dont I guess its my life right?
